Crane Lakes Golf and Country Club is a community for folks 55 years young and older. We have a Homeowners Association that provides us direct contact with the management team and looks after our best interests.
The cost to join the Home Owners Association is $10 per year and you must be an member to vote.
Activities tickets for all events are cheaper for the members and may be purchased before non-members.
Currently there are over 600 members. You may join the Home Owners Association on Wednesday before Bingo or pick up an application at the "happening place" on the HOA bulletin board. You may also contact any board member or Joan LoPresti at 756-7822.

If you are interested on going on any trips - be sure to see the "Travel Board" in the Happening Place. There are many different trips posted. Just contact the persons whose name is on the bottom of the postings. There are also trips advertised in the Courier each month. These ads are paid for by the persons sponsoring them.
CRANE LAKES WOMEN'S PRAYER GROUP invites all Crane Lakes women and their guests for an informal ecumenical prayer and fellowship get-together every FRIDAY from 9:30AM to 11:00AM. For more information call - Mary Tully at 763-1005 or Mary O'Connell at 760-1288.

The Egyptian Goose (Alopochen aegyptiacus) is a member of the duck, goose and swan family Anatidae. It is in the shelduck subfamily Tadorninae, and is the only extant member of the genus Alopochen. mtDNA cytochrome b sequence data suggest that the relationships of Alopochen to Tadorna need further investigation (Sraml et al. 1996).
Two or three species of Alopochen from the Madagascar region have become extinct in the last 1000 years or so:
